These are the admission requirements for the Bachelor of Social Pedagogy and Inclusion
The Bachelor's degree programme in Social Pedagogy and Inclusion is exclusively for individuals who have successfully completed training as a state-recognised educator in Germany.
Proof of one of the following higher education entrance qualifications allows for direct access:
- General or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (A-levels) and training as a state-recognised educator in Germany
- Vocational baccalaureate (with theoretical and practical parts) and training as a state-recognised educator in Germany.
Alternatively, you can also enrol without A-levels. Studying without A-levels at IU is possible under the following conditions:
- Evidence of completed, qualified training as an educator in Germany and at least 3 years of professional experience as an educator
For non-German prospective students, proof of German language proficiency is required for the German-language study programme. The proof must be provided before the start of studies and generally must be not older than five years.

The Online study programme in Social Pedagogy and Inclusion at IU International University can be flexibly adjusted to fit your life and daily routine to suit you best. For instance, you can choose from 3 study models: in the Full-time programme, you need a total of 3 semesters, i.e., 18 months, until you complete your Bachelor's degree. In Part-time Programme I, you study for 4 semesters until completion. Or you opt for Part-time Programme II and give yourself 6 semesters to complete the Bachelor's.

In many modules, virtual lectures are also offered, allowing you to interactively engage with your classmates and lecturers.
Convenient and flexible: the opportunity to take module exams through online exams. You can take an online exam 7 days a week, 24 hours a day - whenever you feel best prepared for the exam, for example, in Building Construction. Additionally, we operate about 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where you can also take your exams in the traditional way on-site.
