The consecutive Master's programme in Social Work is aimed at all graduates of social work or with an equivalent degree who wish to expand their skills or aim for a leadership position. In addition, the flexible study models allow for starting at the beginning of the month without a numerus clausus (NC).
The programme is designed for 4 semesters and comprises 120 ECTS. The content is designed to optimally prepare students for complex requirements. This includes deepening knowledge and training skills related to social work. Modules such as Empirical Social Research, Social Work and Human Rights, and Social Work and Digitalisation, as well as Management and Leadership in Social Institutions, provide a comprehensive overview of the subject areas.
In the second semester, students choose two out of six specialisations: Preventive Social Work, Transitions and Transitions, Case Analysis and Expert Opinions, Counseling and Coaching, Social Management, and Adult Education. Additionally, they choose an elective module in the field of data analysis.
In the third semester, the content can be individually tailored by choosing three additional modules. In total, over 30 modules are available for selection.
At the end of the programme, students write their Master's thesis. They also have the opportunity to obtain various certificates through the programme, depending on the chosen specialisations and elective modules.
