Admission requirements

The prerequisite for access to the further education Master's programme "Social Management" is that the applicant 

either has obtained a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a German university or a university belonging to one of the Bologna signatory states, or  has obtained an equivalent qualification from another foreign university; equivalence is determined in accordance with the assessment recommendations of the Central Office for Foreign Education at the Secretariat of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (http:\/\/anabin.kmk.org) and  can demonstrate at least one year of relevant professional experience in the social sector in full-time employment or part-time employment with at least half of the regular working hours after completing the previous degree. 

Proof of relevant professional experience can also be provided through the successful completion of the recognition year after obtaining the Bachelor's degree in "Social Work".

 

Applicants who do not have a German university entrance qualification or have not obtained their bachelor's degree from a German university must also have sufficient knowledge of the German language for their studies. This proof is provided through 

the German Language Diploma of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (second level),  the Examination for the Assessment of German Language Proficiency (PNdS),  the German Language Examination for University Entrance of Foreign Students (DSH-2),  the TestDaF (only if achieving 4 x TDN 4 or better),  the Examination for the Assessment of Suitability of Foreign Students for University Studies in the Federal Republic of Germany (assessment examination),  the Central Advanced Level Examination (ZOP) of the Goethe Institute,  the Large or Small Language Diploma of the Goethe Institute or  proof of the required language skills as part of a school leaving certificate equivalent to a German university entrance qualification.
