Master’s Programmes

Master’s programmes require a first degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Social Work, Social Management, Education, or a related field. Some programmes also accept Business Administration graduates. State-sector Master’s programmes typically require 1–2 years of professional experience in the social sector. The MBA at Protestant University of Applied Sciences Dresden requires at least one year of work experience and a degree with 210 ECTS minimum.

Language Requirements

All programmes listed here are taught in German. International applicants typically need B2–C1 level proficiency (CEFR). Accepted certificates include TestDaF (TDN 4), DSH-2, or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule. There are currently no English-taught Social Management programmes available as distance learning in Germany.
