Admission requirements

In order to be admitted to study at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences, you must provide proof of the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, or the advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife). Also possible is a general or subject-specific access for particularly qualified professionals or a comparable foreign qualification. For the degree programme Health and Environmental Psychology (Bachelor of Science), English language skills at level B2 are also required.

The Bachelor's degree programme in Health and Environmental Psychology at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences is ideal for anyone who wants to understand how psychological factors influence our health behaviour and environmental perception. The programme spans seven semesters and offers a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The content includes, among other things, the basics of human behaviour and social and developmental psychology, as well as the influence of psychological factors on health and the environment.

In the foundational studies, covering the first four semesters, the basis is laid in central psychological theories and methods. Environmental and health psychology play a key role here. The fifth semester is reserved for a compulsory practical semester in which valuable professional experience is gained and specialist knowledge is applied in a real working environment. You are free to choose your partner company independently and location-independently – in Germany or abroad.

The final two semesters are dedicated to the specialisation phase, in which students specifically engage with topics of health and environmental psychology and carry out application-oriented projects. A scientific bachelor's thesis completes the studies.

Graduates of the programme are well prepared to work in the fields of health promotion, environmental consulting and research. The global and intercultural focus of the course opens up diverse perspectives in the international environment.
