The degree programme is aimed at professionals without a previous psychology degree who want to apply psychological knowledge purposefully in their work environment. It is particularly intended for graduates from economics, social work, pedagogy, educational sciences, public management as well as employees from emergency services such as the police or fire brigade. The Master’s is also suitable for individuals preparing for leadership roles, consulting activities or career advancement in psychology-related fields.
Admission criteria and recommended requirements
Formal admission requirements:
- Completed undergraduate degree (Bachelor or equivalent) at a state-recognised university, regardless of subject (no psychology degree required)
- Professional experience after completion of the undergraduate degree
- Sufficient knowledge of English
- Alternatively: Admission without an undergraduate degree is possible under certain conditions via the Master’s entry programme (e.g. for managers with many years of professional experience)
- There is no numerus clausus (NC)
Personal requirements:
- Interest in applying psychological expertise in professional contexts
- Willingness to reflect and deal with complex behaviours
- Experience in working with people – for example in management, consulting or communication roles
- Self-discipline as well as the ability to study independently with flexible time organisation in distance learning
- Good communication and cooperation skills, especially in interdisciplinary tasks
Which skills does the Master’s in Applied Psychology impart to you?
In the distance learning programme Applied Psychology (M.Sc.) at Euro-FH, you acquire both profound psychological expertise and practical action competencies. The foundational psychology modules cover topics such as General Psychology, Personality Psychology, and Social Psychology. You also choose a classical psychological application subject – either Work, Organisational and Business Psychology, Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy – and thus deepen your profile in a targeted manner.
You specifically learn conversation management, coaching, conflict counselling and mediation. Methodological competences (quantitative and qualitative research methods) are just as much in focus as the planning, implementation and evaluation of psychological interventions in everyday professional life. How is the distance learning programme structured and organised?
The Master’s degree programme Applied Psychology comprises 120 ECTS credits and can be completed in 24 or 32 months, depending on your personal planning. A free extension is possible for up to 12 or 16 months. You can start your studies at any time and adjust your learning pace independently to your life situation – ideal for working professionals.
The learning materials are available to you digitally at any time via the online campus. The self-study is complemented by interactive elements such as online tutorials, webinars and digital learning modules. You can take exams flexibly on a monthly basis – either at examination centres distributed nationwide or online. Intensive seminars are integrated into the curriculum and mostly take place online.
At the beginning, you choose a study focus, enrol in an application subject (e.g. Work, Organisational and Business Psychology) and select suitable modules from the supplementary area. The learning platform supports collaborative learning, and you have access at any time to digital tools, study booklets and secondary literature.
To implement its modern learning concept, Euro-FH relies, among other things, on the AI learning companion KILEA, which offers individual support. All teaching and learning formats provided are designed to promote self-organisation and enable the compatibility of study, work and everyday life.

What are the costs and which financing options are available?
The tuition fees for the Master’s in Applied Psychology at Euro-FH amount to EUR 407 monthly over a period of 32 months, totalling EUR 13,024. Those who choose the shorter variant with 24 months pay higher monthly rates but reduce the total duration accordingly. The price includes all digital learning materials, examinations and the use of the online platform.
