Admission: Which Paths Lead to the Psychology Distance Learning Course?
The following formal admission requirements apply to the Bachelor of Applied Psychology (B.Sc.) at the European Distance Learning University Hamburg:
- Direct access with (technical) secondary school qualification or general higher education entrance qualification: You can enrol directly; a numerus clausus (NC) is not required.
- Admission without secondary school qualification: Possible via a subject-specific advanced training examination (e.g. master craftsman, business administrator) or a completed vocational training of at least two years plus at least three years of professional experience in a field relevant to the course of study, each according to the state legal regulations.
- Recognition of prior learning: Previously completed university credits or certified further training can be recognised individually and shorten the course of study.

In the distance learning programme Applied Psychology (B.Sc.) at Euro-FH, you will acquire a broad foundation of psychological fundamentals and basic diagnostic skills. The modular structure imparts scientifically sound knowledge of developmental, social, personality and biopsychology. In addition, you will learn methods of empirical research and statistics to systematically analyse psychological phenomena.

Your Bachelor’s degree covers 180 ECTS and usually lasts 36 months (full-time) or 48 months (part-time). A flexible start date is possible at any time. You complete the modules at your own pace and benefit from a free extension option – up to 18 months (full-time) or 24 months (part-time).
- The study contents are conveyed via digital study booklets, webinars, learning apps and online platforms.
- Few compact seminars can mostly be attended online.
- You take exams flexibly every month online or at nationwide locations.
- Optionally, you can choose the online evening course with fixed webinar dates if you seek more structure and increased learning success through live exchange.
Throughout the entire course, Euro-FH offers personal support through contact persons, intensive tutorials and individual feedback from the lecturers. In the professional internship as well as in the experimental internship, you put your acquired knowledge directly into practice. You complete the course with an application-oriented Bachelor’s thesis.
