Requirements for enrollment

Entering the Master's program in Applied Psychology for Executives at Fresenius University is quite straightforward: A bachelor's degree with at least 180 ECTS is required. Additionally, you must demonstrate at least 1 year of relevant professional experience that you have acquired after completing your bachelor's degree.

Study Contents, Modules and Specializations

In full-time studies, the course schedule looks as follows:

• 1st Semester: Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Foundations of Behaviour & Experience, Basics of inter- and intrapersonal Resources in Psychology, Applied Psychology, Leadership Psychology
• 2nd Semester: Leadership Tools, Self-reflection and Self-leadership, Focus I, Focus II
• 3rd Semester: Psychological Counselling and Communication, Focus II, Focus III
• 4th Semester: Counselling Methods and Competencies, Focus III, Colloquium, Master's Thesis

In the 3rd semester, you choose your specialization modules from the elective areas: Management of complex Leadership Situations, Physical and Mental Health, Organizational Consulting and Change Management, Staff Recruitment and Development, Leadership and Organization in the Digital Age, Decision Making.

Study Model and Course Structure – Distance Learning with Few Exams

Hochschule Fresenius is convinced that exams are not always suitable for assessing the actual competencies acquired by students. Therefore, in the Master's distance learning program in Applied Psychology for Executives, there are hardly any written exams! Your learning progress is, for example, assessed throughout the studies and online through:

• Written assignments and seminar papers,
• Online presentations,
• Online speeches,
• E-portfolios.

This way, you can save yourself from exhausting travels for exams and have a fair chance of excellent performance evaluations that correspond to your actual knowledge and competency level.
