Please can one finish the study programme in less than the official period of either 36 or 48 months?
    Thank you.

    • Christian Wolf · 3 months ago
@Martin The Bachelor's degree program in Applied Psychology at IU International University offers a high degree of flexibility: there are three time models – Full-Time (36 months), Part-Time I (48 months), and Part-Time II (72 months). It is possible to graduate early if you study more intensively and, for example, take more modules in parallel than recommended in the study plan. Since the program is completely online with no attendance requirements and you can schedule your exams flexibly, you can basically design your own course of study.

However, shortening the official duration of your studies depends on your personal performance, your time budget, and the recognition of previous achievements (ECTS). IU recommends 36 months for the full-time model as the standard duration to achieve the 180 ECTS credits. If you can already have ECTS credits recognized, the duration of your studies will be shortened accordingly.

In summary: Yes, you can generally complete the program in less than the official 36 or 48 months, provided you study faster and complete modules earlier. For precise planning and clarification of the possibilities for recognition of previous achievements or individual advice, I recommend that you contact IU's student advisory service directly or take advantage of the free trial month offer to get to know everyday student life.
