Who is the Master's Distance Learning Course in Psychology ideal for?
The Master's degree in Psychology at the European Distance Learning University Hamburg is aimed at graduates of a first degree in psychology who wish to further qualify themselves both academically and practically. It is particularly suitable if you want to study alongside work and pursue a specialisation in areas such as HR, coaching, communication, education, sustainability management or risk management. The programme is designed for professionals who want to deepen their psychological knowledge and apply it across different sectors – for example in the corporate environment, educational institutions or advisory roles.
What formal requirements must you meet?
For admission, you need a completed degree in Psychology or Applied Psychology (e.g. Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree). In addition, English language skills are required. A numerus clausus (NC) is not required. An individual assessment and recognition of content-related prior achievements from previous courses of study is possible, which may save you time and costs.
On a personal level, you should bring motivation for independent scientific work, analytical thinking skills and organisational talent for distance learning. Practical experience in the psychological or related fields as well as interest in research-based and application-oriented issues are advantageous. Strong communication skills, resilience and a sense of responsibility are especially recommended, as many specialisations prepare for interactive or advisory activities.
