Details
The Bachelor's programme in Educational Psychology and Learning Coaching (B.A.) is conducted as a distance learning course and can also be completed in full-time or part-time mode, as well as in a dual study variant, which is also available in full-time and part-time.
In the course portfolio of the Euro-FH, this programme expands the range of offerings with a Bachelor's degree at the intersection of psychology and education. Students acquire knowledge and skills in the theories and methods in the field of education, psychological foundations, as well as developmental, general, and educational psychology. In addition to basic studies, the focus is on imparting (digital) methodological skills and research knowledge. A deeper reflection and application of the study contents takes place within a practical phase, culminating in the independent planning, implementation, and evaluation of their own learning coaching project.
In addition to using study booklets, four seminars (either in person or virtually), two online seminars, a webinar, as well as various digital teaching and learning units (e.g. instructional videos, online tutorials) are provided.
The target groups of the programme are professionals who already have a relevant vocational training background (such as educators or social education workers) and who aim to gain access to more challenging tasks, higher salary levels, and further career opportunities through academic advancement. Furthermore, individuals without pedagogical training and education are addressed, who either want to work or are already active in institutional, non-institutional, voluntary, or corporate educational activities. Lastly, the programme is aimed at re-entering teachers who seek to refresh, expand, and possibly focus their didactic and methodological competencies.
For prospective students who seek an even closer integration of theory and practice and can demonstrate a suitable practical placement with supervisory support in the admission process, the Euro-FH offers a dual variant of the programme. This variant allows for a direct integration of the scientifically acquired knowledge, skills, and practical professional competencies (theory) with the practical work experience (practice) gained during the studies.
