The Bachelor's distance learning course Digital Learning and Educational Management (EHiP) is suitable for all those who want to actively shape digital teaching and learning processes and lead educational organizations into the future. The target group includes professionals from the field of (adult) education, employees of schools, universities, continuing education institutions, as well as employees in companies responsible for corporate training. Career changers with an interest in e-learning, educational management, or digital didactics also benefit. If you have organizational skills and the willingness to develop educational processes strategically and technically -- from course conception to quality control -- then this course is right for you.
Admission: What are the formal pathways into the course?
For the Bachelor's degree in Digital Learning and Educational Management at EHiP, there are three official access routes:
- Direct access with (subject-specific) university entrance qualification:
- General university entrance qualification (A-levels)
- University of Applied Sciences entrance qualification
- Subject-specific university entrance qualification
- Studying without a traditional university entrance qualification through a relevant professional development qualification:
- e.g. professional development qualifications such as specialist business administrator, business economist, technician, master craftsman, certified accountant, and business manager
- Studying without a traditional university entrance qualification with professional training:
- At least a two-year completed vocational training and up to three years of relevant work experience in the field of education, human resources development, e-learning, or related fields. This qualifies for a trial study according to §58 (3) LHG (state higher education law Baden-Württemberg).
There is no NC (numerus clausus). The course can start at any time -- all examinations are completed fully online, independent of location and flexible in terms of time.
Personal prerequisites include self-motivation, openness to digital media and new ways of learning, organizational skills, as well as an affinity for technology and (educational) management. Initial (professional) experiences or interest in the field of education, human resources development, media pedagogy, adult education, or digital transformation processes are helpful but not mandatory. Working independently and being willing to regularly engage in online learning content on your own facilitate your study routine.
What contents does the B.A. Digital Learning and Educational Management program detail?
The Bachelor's program in Digital Learning and Educational Management combines pedagogical, technological, and management-oriented skills for the field of education. You will develop expertise in the following areas:
- Didactics & Digital Learning Environments: Basics of digital learning, planning and designing learning processes, didactic design, use of artificial intelligence and learning analytics.
- Education & Psychology: Education in digital contexts, learning psychology, social and communication psychology, as well as scientific research methods.

Upon completion, you will receive 180 ECTS and will be able to conceive, implement, and ensure the quality of digital educational offerings.
How does the online B.A. program in Digital Learning and Educational Management work?

- 100% Online: The entire course, including all exams, takes place online on the myFOCUS platform.
- Individual Pace: You can choose to complete the program in a Sprint (36 months), Balance (48 months), Flex model (60 months), or extend up to 72 months if needed, at no extra cost.
- Modular Learning: After the basic modules, you can flexibly combine further modules and specializations, and even take them in parallel. You can start the parallel bachelor's thesis after 150 ECTS.
- Practical Experience and Community: You will work on practical case studies, use interactive learning videos and web-based training, and be part of an active digital learning community. Personal support from lecturers and tutors is a key component of the distance learning program.
- Flexible Exam Scheduling: Exams are taken online at times of your choosing—no rigid scheduling or fixed exam locations.
Upon completion, you will earn the title "Bachelor of Arts in Digital Learning and Educational Management," which is a nationally recognized qualification.

A fee-free extension up to 72 months is possible. There are no additional costs for enrollment, exams, or graduation.

- BAföG (for full-time study within 36 months, depending on personal requirements)
- Educational funds like Deutsche Bildung and Brain Capital, where repayment is income-dependent and begins after completion
- KfW student loans with individually adjustable monthly disbursement
- Support from the employer or tax deductibility of costs as advertising expenses
Actions such as discounted tuition fees are regularly available. Previous achievements can be credited, reducing study time and costs.
