For the Master's programme in "Education, Educational Consulting and Leadership" at IU International University, the following admission requirements apply:
- Completed undergraduate studies with a focus on (social) pedagogy, educational sciences, or educational sciences (at least 180 ECTS credits).
- The degree must have been obtained from a state or recognized university.
- Final grade in the undergraduate studies at least "Satisfactory" (in individual cases also "Sufficient," see below for special regulations).
- Applicants with a degree in psychology can be admitted if they can provide at least 10 ECTS credits from the field of pedagogy, educational sciences, educational sciences, or educational psychology, or if they take additional modules in the Bachelor's programme in pedagogy at IU.
- In certain conditions, applicants with non-subject-related primary degrees can be admitted via the master's entrance examination (pre-examination through two specific modules, which are then fully credited).
Alternative regulation for the grade: Those who completed their undergraduate studies with the grade "Sufficient" (up to 4.0) can be admitted if they have completed at least 40 ECTS credits in relevant study achievements in a Master's or MBA programme or hold an equivalent further qualification (DQR7 level).
In case of different qualifications, an individual examination will be conducted by IU International University.
For international applicants: written proof of German language skills is required, e.g. TestDaF (at least 3 points in each subcategory), DSH1, Telc German B2, or ÖSD B2. Certificates should generally not be more than five years old.
There is the possibility to have prior achievements from completed training or further education as well as extracurricular acquired qualifications recognized and thus save study time and fees.
