Details
The course is aimed at professionals and executives in companies and public institutions who want to qualify for a career in a strong sector of the job market through a targeted course of study. It is also ideal for young professionals who are looking for a modern form of study directly after high school, after a voluntary social year, or after vocational training that can be reconciled with their professional activities.
Fields of Activity
Typical fields of activity in national and international contexts include HR management, professional competence development, personal and political as well as professional education, personnel development, cultural mediation (e.g. theater, museum, music), and event management.
You will gain the essential competencies of business administration necessary for science and commerce, as well as the required practical specialist knowledge in the areas of education, culture, and psychology. This immediately enables you, for example, to plan, implement, and evaluate further education concepts, programs, events, and change processes in a well-founded, methodically secure, and successful manner.
Study Contents
With your subject-specific competencies, you qualify for attractive, diverse activities in education and culture. The contents are tailored to relevant fields of action and professions as well as to a broad job market in education and culture:
- business management of companies and associations,
- management of educational companies and institutions,
- management of both private and public-law cultural enterprises and networks,
- management of education and culture in international organizations and networks.
In two of these four areas of action and professions of your choice, you deepen your professional control skills and can systematically expand them in line with your individual goals and preferences.
Process
The course is designed as a distance learning program. You will work on the study contents through self-study and will be continuously supervised by professors and academic staff of the Euro-FH.
One of the focal points of studying at the Euro-FH is the stay at one of our 8 partner universities in Denmark, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, China, and the USA.
Another special feature of this consistently application-oriented course of study is the "Practical Project" module. In this module, you independently carry out a practical project in either companies or educational and cultural institutions. Unlike a traditional internship, you can design the practical project - similar to your entire studies - flexibly and independently of location. Of course, you can place the project in the company/institution of your choice and simultaneously use it for your professional career. Alternatively, we can support you in finding a suitable project. You will learn concretely what business action means in education and cultural management. Thanks to individual feedback on your practical task, you will professionalize your approach and systematically expand your practical skills.
The standard period of study is 48 months (part-time study) or 36 months (full-time study). A free extension of the standard period of study by 24 or 18 months is possible. It is also possible to complete the distance learning program faster than in the designated standard period of study.
You can find examination centres close to you, for example in Hamburg, Bremen, Berlin, Göttingen, Leipzig, Cologne, Frankfurt a.M., Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Munich, Zurich, and Vienna.
