Procedure
The degree programme is designed as a scientific master's programme, i.e. it has a standard period of study of 4 semesters in full-time study or 8 semesters in part-time study. The scope of the programme is 3,600 working hours with 120 credit points to be achieved according to ECTS. The credit points, awarded according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), certify the successful completion of a module. Credit points are only awarded if the examination performance assigned to the module was rated at least 4.0 (sufficient).
The successful completion of the degree programme is evaluated with a total of 120 credit points, i.e. with 15 credit points per module (= 450 working hours) and 15 credit points for the passed master's thesis. Students must work on a total of 7 modules, so that in full-time study, 2 modules (= 900 working hours or 30 credit points) must be completed in each semester.
In addition to working on a module, the last semester is also dedicated to writing the final thesis. For this purpose, the remaining 450 working hours not determined by working on modules are used. The master's thesis consists of a written elaboration and a self-created or guided (media) product. The ratio of the workload between written work and (media) product must be in a content-justified relationship.
Costs
The total cost of the programme amounts to approximately €1,100 (part-time study within the standard period of study).
