Admission requirements

In order to participate in this master's program, applicants must either have a first professional university degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters in any field and at least one year of professional experience in the field of adult education. Alternatively, those interested without a university degree, but with a recognized university entrance qualification and at least three years of qualified professional experience in the field of adult education, can take an aptitude test. The advanced distance learning programme in the field of adult education, offered by the Distance and Independent Studies Center of RPTU, is a comprehensive master's programme that provides theoretical and practice-oriented knowledge to students. The target group consists of professionals working in adult and continuing education, as well as those who wish to take on responsibility in educational management.

The programme offers participants the opportunity to acquire theoretical foundations of adult education and to utilize current research to gain didactic and organizational knowledge for the management and support of learning processes. The study is part-time and includes various modules that qualify students for participation in adult educational settings.
