Admission requirements

Required:

In order to directly enrol in the degree programme, you need to have the general higher education entrance qualification, a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or the university of applied sciences entrance qualification.

Don't have a school-leaving certificate or university entrance qualification?

Recognised advanced training and technical school qualifications (e.g. technician, master craftsman, business administrator, specialist manager, educator, etc.) in combination with a consultation entitle you to study.

If you do not have an advanced training or technical school qualification but have completed vocational training and professional experience, you can start your studies after successfully passing a university aptitude test.

From foreign prospective students, we require proof of German language proficiency. There are several ways to provide this proof, such as

  • DSH-2 (German Language Examination for University Entrance)
  • C1 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
  • TestDaF Level 4 (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache - Test of German as a Foreign Language)
  • a school-leaving certificate equivalent to a German university entrance qualification.

Recommended Knowledge:

  • English language skills at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics
  • Basics of human sciences

Missing prerequisites can be acquired during the preparatory course.
