The Bachelor's degree programme in Food Technology at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences aims to comprehensively prepare students for a career in the food industry. The programme provides a solid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering principles. In addition, specific knowledge is acquired in the areas of food processing and equipment technology, plant and animal food technology, as well as food analysis and quality assurance.
Students learn to plan, control and monitor technological processes. They are able to transfer new findings to the food industry and related areas of industrial production, taking into account business, ecological and safety requirements. Career prospects range from the food industry to machinery and plant engineering for food production and packaging technology, to cosmetics manufacturing and business consulting.
An essential feature of the programme is the practical training complemented by internships. Moreover, students have the opportunity to obtain the prestigious QMF TÜV certificate, which certifies their qualification in quality management.
The study contents are diverse and offer the opportunity to specialize individually through elective modules. Here are some of the main modules of the study plan:
