Admission requirements
The admission requirement is a qualified completed study in nutrition, health or a similar field at a university with a standard period of study of at least 3 years, and a qualified professional experience of at least one year after the first academic degree.
Applicants who have not completed their school education up to university entrance qualification or their university studies at a German-speaking institution must provide proof of sufficient knowledge of the German language. The Test DaF, level 4xTDN 4 or equivalent qualifications are considered sufficient (individual decision).

The part-time master's programme in Nutritional Therapy at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is designed for professionals with a background in nutrition science, such as ecotrophologists and nutrition scientists, as well as professionals from related fields such as sports, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, and psychology. The aim of the programme is to train graduates to become nutritional therapy professionals who work in leadership positions at the interface between medicine and nutrition. The master's degree qualifies graduates for various nutrition-related areas of work in science and clinics and opens up the opportunity for them to pursue a doctoral programme.
The programme lasts for 5 semesters and is offered in Bernburg. It provides comprehensive knowledge in the areas of nutritional therapy, medicine, and nutritional sciences. Students have the opportunity to refresh or deepen their knowledge and are supported by dedicated lecturers and introductory reading materials. Additionally, tutorials are offered to support the learning process. The evaluation group positively assessed the concept of the master's programme and recommends a tighter definition of entry requirements to optimize the students' professional connectivity.
The programme is available in both the summer and winter semesters and is conducted in German. The accreditation by the Accreditation Council is valid from 1st October 2021 to 30th September 2029. The evaluation group confirms the high quality of the programme and the positive experiences of the students, who feel well-supported and challenged.
