Is the Distance Learning Course in Practice and Healthcare Management Suitable for You?
The distance learning course is aimed at medical, dental and veterinary assistants (MFA, ZFA, TFA) who are already working in a medical practice, dental practice, veterinary practice or other outpatient medical facility. You will benefit particularly if you wish to advance professionally and take on leadership or management responsibilities in healthcare. This course is also an option for professionals with completed further training as a specialist or with an apprenticeship contract (including successful completion of the first year of training) – regardless of (subject-specific) A-levels.
Formal Admission Requirements for Entry
To be admitted to the Bachelor's degree course Practice and Healthcare Management (B.Sc.), you must meet one of the following requirements:
- Completed three-year training as an MFA, ZFA or TFA
- or a valid apprenticeship contract in one of these professions as well as successful completion of the first year of training
In addition, you need one of the following certificates:
- General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
- or you can also be admitted without A-levels if you
- can provide proof of further professional training (e.g. IHK specialist),
- successfully complete a trial study period at SRH Fernhochschule,
- or have already successfully studied for one year at a German university.
There is no Numerus Clausus (NC). Recognition of prior achievements from your vocational training is planned, so the course will be significantly shortened.

How is the course structure organised in the Practice and Care Management distance learning programme?
The course is designed for six semesters (180 ECTS) and is completed entirely via distance learning. The innovative CORE principle of SRH Fernhochschule allows you great flexibility in organising your study progress. By accrediting your vocational training as a MFA, ZFA or TFA, the programme is shortened to three semesters – the first three semesters are recognised in terms of content.

- Semesters 1–3: Credit recognition from vocational training, no additional modules.
- Semester 4: Scientific work, team communication, digitalisation, case and care management, project management.
- Semester 5: Outpatient care, quality and process management, business administration, personnel management, first elective module.
- Semester 6: Research methods, two further elective modules, Bachelor thesis.
- Individual focus setting: Three freely selectable elective modules for personal specialisation.
- Practice-oriented modules: The curriculum structure emphasises direct relevance to professional everyday life and current requirements in the healthcare sector.

- Flex 2 (25 months payment period): €309.00 monthly, total €7,725.00
- Flex 3 (36 months payment period): €221.22 monthly, total €7,963.92
In all models, you can extend your studies free of charge by a further 18 months after the standard study period. The price includes all study materials, e-learning offers and examination services. There are no hidden additional costs.
