Admission requirements

In order to be admitted, you need a university entrance qualification such as Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, a vocational qualification for advancement, or a successfully completed entrance examination. In addition, a completed three-year vocational training in a healthcare profession is required. Non-native speakers must demonstrate language skills at the level of German C1.

The degree programme in Education for Health and Nursing Professions (Bachelor of Arts) at West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau is aimed at members of the healthcare professions who are looking to pursue a career in the education sector of the healthcare industry. Demographic change and changes in the healthcare and social system require new qualifications for teachers. This degree programme prepares students to teach at educational institutions in the healthcare sector. The course provides a foundation in educational and educational science theories, as well as vocational education and didactic knowledge. Psychological aspects of learning and legal principles are also covered.

The main objectives of the programme are to empower students to:
