Admission requirements

Prospective students must provide proof of a university entrance qualification, a general entrance qualification for university studies, or an equivalent recognized qualification. A completed vocational training of at least two years in a nursing-related field or a minimum of three years of professional experience in a nursing-related field is required. Proficiency in the English language at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is expected. Participation in an interview may be required. Successful participation in any selection process is mandatory. Enrolment is possible without restrictions on the number of places available. Start of studies is possible every quarter.

The distance learning programme "Nursing" B.Sc. aims to develop competencies that enable scientifically grounded work in practical nursing fields.

Nine basic modules form the core of the course. With these, students acquire interdisciplinary competencies in the fields of nursing science, healthcare systems, management of healthcare facilities, nursing law and ethics, as well as case and care management.

The three offered specialisations "Nursing Science", "Nursing Management" and "Nursing Education" provide students with all possibilities for individual specialisation. In elective modules such as geriatrics and gerontopsychiatry, nursing diagnostics and assessment, or communication and leadership, students acquire additional competencies that are tailored to their personal interests. By integrating additional qualifications into the study programme, students have the opportunity to qualify for new professional tasks.

The programme is primarily aimed at qualified nurses seeking responsible specialist or managerial roles. Students also develop scientific competencies during the course, expanding their knowledge and enriching their work. Research-based problem-solving and new technologies complement their activities.
