Admission requirements
In order to enrol in the degree programme directly, you will need the general qualification for university entrance, a subject-specific qualification for university entrance, or a qualification for entrance to a university of applied sciences. In addition, you must have completed a recognized, state-approved training in the field of nursing.
Recommended knowledge:
- solid basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics
- language skills in English at level "GER-B2" (of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages developed by the Council of Europe
- Depending on the chosen specialization, basic knowledge of social work is recommended.
- Missing prerequisite knowledge can be acquired during the preparatory course.

In the Distance Learning Nursing Pedagogy programme, you will acquire pedagogical skills to design teaching and learning situations in the initial, continuing, and further education of nursing professionals. Scientifically founded as well as practice- and experience-based study contents build bridges between theory and practice to solve problems in a theory-based and situation-appropriate manner.
You will learn to understand the complexity of the fields of action in nursing and education and to establish a dual operational reference. Your goal is to impart technical expertise while always keeping a focus on people and humanity.
The Nursing Pedagogy Distance Learning programme is based on the subject qualification framework for nursing didactics of the German Society for Nursing Science e.V.
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing Pedagogy enables you to have a variety of career opportunities, including roles as a coordinator in nursing facilities and vocational schools, an expert in family and patient education, a teacher at vocational schools, or a research associate.
