Details
The pharmaceutical and medical technology market is in motion and evolving. Many new technologies are making their way in. This affects the entire value chain of pharmaceutical and medical technology products. Keywords such as Industry 4.0, connected production, and globalized value chains indicate this change in traditional drug development and production. This is partly a result of digitization and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is gaining increasing influence. Machines communicate with machines – but it takes skilled workers to oversee the process or to interface with the customer. Additionally, areas such as logistics, trade, and the distribution of raw and intermediate products up to the medicines rely on employees with specialized knowledge.
The Bachelor's degree program "Pharmaceutical Management and Pharma Production" (B.Sc.) is particularly aimed at individuals who are already working in the pharmaceutical sector and wish to enhance their qualifications through a university degree. However, you can also study the program as your first qualification. The study program has an interdisciplinary focus with both business administration and pharmaceutical-technological objectives. Upon completion, you will be qualified for tasks in the entire pharmaceutical value chain of medical products and over-the-counter goods.
Throughout your studies, you will gain a comprehensive overview of management, production, and technologies in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sector. You will learn theories and fundamentals to successfully meet the challenges in middle and senior key positions. With the dual qualification in business/management and pharmaceutical foundations, technologies, and their applications, you will be well-equipped for interface tasks.
During your studies, you can also choose your personal, professionally oriented focus to further deepen your skills.
The study focuses in the Bachelor's program Pharmaceutical Management and Pharma Production are:
• Modern Pharmacies: Pharmacy Management and Individualized Pharmacy
• Industrial Pharma: Pharma Production, Facilities, and Control
