The Bachelor's degree programme "Medical Biotechnology" at the Technische Hochschule Bingen provides practical knowledge at the interface between medicine, analytics, and technology. Students acquire comprehensive skills in medical laboratory diagnostics, quality and data management, as well as regulatory issues. Through mandatory and elective modules, they can individually shape and deepen their studies.
The practice-integrated model provides insights into operational processes during practical phases, while the occupation-integrated model foresees a distribution of the 210 ECTS credits over nine semesters. For the latter, an existing employment relationship and a cooperation agreement are required. Students benefit from a high proportion of distance learning elements that enable flexible study. Practical exercises and regular communication between company supervisors and instructors ensure a practice-oriented education.
The programme is affiliated with the Centre for Distance Learning in the University Consortium (ZFH) to ensure optimal support for students. The accreditation council's evaluation group positively assesses the focuses on data and quality management, emphasizing the high market presence of the themes for graduates. TH Bingen has first-class technical equipment to support distance learning elements and highlights its support for the dual study model.
