Details
Life sciences cover a large area of the pharmaceutical industry, medicine, and scientific research. The dual Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Life Sciences combines training as a medical technical laboratory assistant (MTLA) with a Bachelor's degree. It qualifies graduates for positions in clinical, academic-scientific, or industrial settings. The study contents are tailored to the requirements of future employers, connecting subject knowledge with practical skills, as well as methodological and personal competencies. The Medicine and Life Sciences programme educates professionals who master both practical laboratory techniques and scientific approaches, and understand the academic language of biology, pharmacology, and medicine.
The distance learning programme is modular and includes the following subjects:
- Introduction to the study - Mathematics - Non-technical and technical elective courses - Computer Science and Statistics - Chemistry, Physics - Medicine, Medical Conditions - Biology, Cell Biology - Introduction to Microsystem Technology - Instrumental Analysis - Quality and Equipment Qualification - Regenerative Medicine
In the final semester, students write their Bachelor's thesis, followed by a colloquium.
