Is the B.A. Medical Technology & Health Management right for you?
The degree programme is suitable for professionals in the healthcare sector – such as nursing professionals, medical assistants, or practice managers – who want to drive digitization and processes in facilities forward. If you come from an IT background (e.g. hospital IT, medical technology, system administration) and want to acquire in-depth knowledge in Health Management and Business Administration, you will find the appropriate interface qualification here. Also addressed are career changers from health insurance companies, administration, or logistics in healthcare who want to manage technical and organizational changes. Important for compatibility: Exams can be scheduled monthly, online or at 10 locations; compact seminars are usually held online – making studying alongside work and family easier.
Admission Requirements
You can start the degree programme with or without a high school diploma – there is no numerus clausus. An overview of the three access paths:
- With a general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification – direct admission, no numerus clausus.
- Without a high school diploma with a subject-specific further education examination.
- Without a high school diploma with vocational training.
Prior achievements can be credited. Further education and training as well as preliminary study achievements can be credited towards modules depending on their suitability – up to 90 credits are possible as a lump sum. €40 will be credited per recognized credit; this reduces study time, exams, and fees.
Personal Requirements
Important are self-organization, a constant learning pace, and the willingness to familiarize yourself with both technical topics (e.g. AI, IT security, medical device law) and management and business administration content. You should enjoy working at interfaces – between IT, nursing, administration, and management – and be able to clearly communicate complex issues. A solid understanding of data and processes will help you make medical-technical and organizational solutions practical.
Realistic time planning is crucial: In the 48-month model, you can expect about 10-15 hours per week, in the 36-month model more likely 15-20 hours per week – including preparation time before exams. Plan fixed learning windows, use digital learning aids, and coordinate peak workloads (e.g. submissions, exams) early with your family and employer. This way, your workload remains manageable, even when shift work, projects, or caregiving are added.
What do you learn in the distance learning programme in Medical Technology and Health Management at the Euro-FH?

This sharpens your profile at the intersection of technology and management.
How does the Bachelor's programme in Medical Technology and Health Management work as a distance learning course?
