Admission requirements
The MBA is aimed at professionals with a completed undergraduate degree who want to advance their careers or develop specific skills in the healthcare sector. The programme provides practical knowledge on healthcare structures, digital solutions, automation, as well as key figure analysis and reporting in corporate health management.
Admission requirements:
- Completed Bachelor's degree (min. 180 ECTS)
or an equivalent qualification at university level
- At least 2 years of professional experience
- German language skills at C1 level
- English language skills at B2 level
In addition, evidence of basic business knowledge is required, which can be acquired through studies, further education, and/or professional experience.
The university will review all submitted documents as part of the application process – usually within two working days.

Study Contents and Structure of the MBA in Healthcare Management & Digital HealthThe MBA programme in Healthcare Management & Digital Health at ELG E-Learning Group is offered in two variants: with 90 ECTS or alternatively with 120 ECTS. Both programmes combine essential healthcare competencies with current digital developments.
The 90-ECTS variant includes practical modules on healthcare structures, digital solutions, automation, and performance indicators. The programme is complemented by a master's thesis and a final examination.
The 120-ECTS variant expands the curriculum with additional specializations and extension modules - ideal for a broader qualification profile.
All modules conclude with online exams or project work. The culmination is a research-based master's thesis allowing for an in-depth exploration of a relevant practical topic.

The MBA is divided into modules encompassing multiple instructional units. The modules build upon each other thematically and are to be worked on by you through self-study and flexible time management. One ECTS point corresponds to an effort of 25 working hours.
Graduation: State-Accredited MBA from FH des BFI Wien
The MBA is awarded by FH des BFI Wien and is nationally recognised. The degree is fully usable in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, and corresponds to EQR level 7 (second stage of the Bologna system).
The equivalence agreement with Germany ensures equal recognition. The degree is recognised throughout Europe and internationally.
It qualifies for leadership roles in digital transformation and provides practical skills for implementing innovative solutions in various industries.
Procedure of Distance Learning at ELG
Registration is possible online throughout the year. After reviewing the documents, the study begins flexibly with an individual start date.
The study is conducted through self-study, supported by study coaches and optional online lectures. The modules are completed sequentially with online exams and project work.
The duration of the study is 18 to 42 months (90 ECTS) or 24 to 48 months (120 ECTS).
The final module involves creating a master's thesis and defending it in an oral examination. Upon successful completion, the title of "MBA" is conferred.
