Admission requirements

The degree programme in Health Management is open to those who meet one of the following requirements:


• Completed Bachelor's degree in Health Management from DIPLOMA University with a final grade of at least "satisfactory"
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma from a university or college in a programme related to healthcare with elements of business studies, or in Business Administration with a focus on Health Management, or a comparable/related field with a scope of 180 ECTS, completed with at least a "satisfactory" grade.
• A comparable, at least satisfactory degree from abroad with a duration of at least six semesters or 180 ECTS.

Applicants should have proficient English skills at level B2. These can be demonstrated through relevant certificates or qualifications. There are several options: examination subject in the Abitur, recognized tests such as TOEIC, TOEFL, or a 30-minute language proficiency assessment conducted by DIPLOMA University.


Study and work placements in English-speaking countries are beneficial but do not exempt from the language proficiency assessment.


The evidence must be provided by the end of the first year of study.


Applicants with a final grade of "sufficient" are not eligible for the Master's programme. Applicants with a "satisfactory" grade in their previous studies must demonstrate their ability to successfully complete a Master's programme in a placement interview.

The interdisciplinary Master's programme "Healthcare Management" (M.A.) offers you practical knowledge in five semesters as an online distance learning programme, covering essential areas ranging from empirical methods to management skills and process management for prospective executives, among others, within a standard period of study. The focus of the programme is on a profound scientific reflection of current and future management tasks, preparing you in particular for the challenges of a position in senior management in healthcare facilities.


During your studies, you can also choose your personal, professionally oriented focus to further deepen your skills.

Course of study
At DIPLOMA Hochschule, you have the opportunity to study the Master's programme in Healthcare Management as an online degree programme.


The online distance learning programme at DIPLOMA Hochschule is designed according to the "Blended Learning" principle. This means that you work on the study contents with the help of study booklets and attend live online seminars. These usually take place on 12 to 14 Saturdays per semester - in some cases also during the week in the evening. You can take your exams online or at an examination centre of your choice.

Costs & Registration
The (online) distance learning programme at DIPLOMA Hochschule starts every year in the summer semester (April) and winter semester (October) of a year. The start of the programme is also possible at any other time after an individual assessment.
