Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the Bachelor's programme in Healthcare Management, you need to have a general (subject-specific) higher education entrance qualification or an equivalent degree. Additionally, by the beginning of the third semester, you must provide evidence of at least a three-month internship or three months of work experience in the healthcare sector.
However, it is also possible to study at IST-Hochschule für Management without a high school diploma. For this, you must have completed at least a two-year professional training programme and have a master craftsman's certificate or an advanced training qualification, or alternatively, you must demonstrate at least three years of professional experience and at least a two-year completed training.

Also, in private life, more and more emphasis is placed on a healthy lifestyle. The numbers confirm this: Health expenditures already account for about 11% of the gross domestic product, and the trend is increasing.
For well-trained personnel, this results in excellent job prospects in the healthcare industry. The Bachelor's degree programme in Healthcare Management provides you with the knowledge needed for a leadership position, for example, at

The focus of the programme is on acquiring business management knowledge tailored to the healthcare sector, preparing you optimally for the industry's challenges. You will receive a solid foundation in economic fundamentals, which you can use, for example, in controlling, human resource management, or for strategic and operational marketing planning. This is followed by health-specific content that prepares you for the specific economic structures and conditions in healthcare. In the area of General Management, you will be taught the most important economic fundamentals. In the specialisation subjects, you will acquire specialized knowledge of the healthcare sector. Digital and Flexible Studying at the IST University of Management
Through distance learning at the IST University, you benefit from several advantages. You benefit from free time management in your studies. This is ensured by digital study materials that you can work on at your own pace. Additionally, the online campus is available to you at all times, where you can access online lectures and tutorials. If you need more flexibility due to your professional activities, this is easily possible with the part-time study model.
The studies start each summer and winter semester, in April and October of each year.
The duration of the studies depends on your choice of study model. A full-time study takes six semesters, a part-time study eight, and a dual study seven semesters.
During the course of the studies, you will accumulate 180 ECTS credits. Upon completion of the accredited programme, you will receive the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
