The admission requirements for the Master's programme in Healthcare Management are as follows:

Applicants must have a first professional academic degree. The course of study must be relevant to the field and have a connection to healthcare. In addition, a minimum of one year of practical work experience in healthcare is required. The examination requirements correspond to the participation requirements of the programme.

The Master's distance learning programme in Healthcare Management at HFH · Hamburger Fern-Hochschule is aimed at executives and professionals who wish to prepare for the demanding tasks in healthcare management. The programme deepens management-related knowledge as well as methodological and social skills in order to develop sustainable and holistic solutions for the complex problems of the healthcare sector.

The training imparts important leadership skills and enables you to act in management in a shaping, holistic, and sustainable manner. You will learn to make strategic management decisions, develop and manage change measures, and reflect on decisions based on scientific methods.

 

Core objective 1: Conveyance of strategies and premises for management decisions. Core objective 2: Development, initiation, and control of change measures. Core objective 3: Reflection on decisions based on scientific methods.

 

The programme runs over five semesters and is divided into fourteen modules, which are dealt with in the qualification tracks of Empirical Methods, Public Health, Management, and Business Administration. The study contents include, among others, the analysis and evaluation of structures and processes, the development of solution strategies, and the management of personnel and organizational structures. The final semester is dedicated to the completion of the master's thesis.
