You are particularly suitable if you have already gained some professional experience in related fields or if you want to develop your career as a lateral entrant in the event and congress industry, event agencies or with event service providers. Openness to business management topics, creativity and an interest in working digitally are advantageous.
Admission: These Requirements You Must Fulfil
The following admission routes are available for the Bachelor’s degree programme in Event Management at Euro-FH:
- With a general university entrance qualification (Abitur) or university of applied sciences entrance qualification, you are admitted without further conditions.
- Without Abitur, admission is possible if you can demonstrate a subject-specific advanced training examination (e.g. IHK specialist, master craftsman’s certificate) or completed vocational training with at least three years of professional experience.
- Admission without NC (Numerus Clausus) is guaranteed – the intake capacity is not limited.
- Previously earned achievements from training, further education or prior studies can be credited, which may reduce your study duration and tuition fees.
Personally, you should meet the following requirements: willingness to study independently over at least six semesters and an average weekly workload of about 29 hours is expected. You will benefit if you can work in an organised way, possess team and communication skills, and keep a cool head in stressful situations. Initial experience in event planning or dealing with customers is helpful but not mandatory. An interest in digital media as well as solid English skills are useful, as the course includes international content and can be completed entirely digitally and flexibly.
What content does the Bachelor’s degree in Event Management by distance learning convey?
In the distance learning Event Management course, you will develop a broad business administration foundation with a focus on the events industry. You will gain comprehensive knowledge in planning, organising, executing, and follow-up of events of all kinds – from concerts and trade fairs to corporate events and leisure activities. Through practice-oriented content and options, you acquire subject-specific, methodological, and communicative competences to lead events professionally and with a customer focus to success.
How is the course structure designed in the part-time distance learning programme?
The course is designed for maximum flexibility and can be completed in 36 or 48 months. If needed, a free extension of up to 24 months is possible. You can start at any time and adjust your learning pace individually. The learning materials are available to you both digitally and in print, complemented by multimedia elements such as teaching videos, online tutorials, accompanying learning apps, and a personal AI learning companion (KILEA).
- Three in-person seminars, one online seminar, one webinar plus a two-week international seminar are integrated into the practical training.
- You take exams flexibly every month – either online or at one of the nationwide exam locations.
- For each subject module, a personal tutor is available for questions, individual support, and feedback.
- Through the recognition procedure, relevant prior achievements from further training or previous studies can be credited towards the study period and fees.
The didactic concept is explicitly designed for working professionals and enables you to study part-time and flexibly without losing control over your own time management.
