Admission requirements
With Abitur or Fachhochschulreife
With this qualification, you can immediately enroll in studies at the Euro-FH. We also recommend a practical work experience of at least 12 weeks with a suitable reference to the degree programme. Previous study and examination achievements from other universities can possibly be credited towards your studies at the Euro-FH.
Without Abitur, with a specific professional qualification
You can also be admitted to study at the Euro-FH without Abitur, if you meet the following two criteria:
You can provide one of the following qualifications:
You have completed a specific professional qualification, e.g.
- State-certified business economist
- Certified accountant (IHK)
- Specialist
- Business specialist
- State-certified technician
- Master
or a degree from a recognized technical school
or a certificate of competence according to the Ship Officer Training Regulation
or a degree from a recognized technical school
or a degree from state-specific advanced training regulations for professions in healthcare, social care, or social-pedagogical professions
You will also participate in a consultation with the specialist commission of the Euro-FH. The consultation will be conducted by telephone and will last approximately 15 minutes. The scheduling of the appointment for the conversation will take place after reviewing your enrollment documents.
Without Abitur, with completed vocational training and several years of professional experience
If you have completed a vocational training and have been employed for at least three years afterwards (up to two years of child-rearing and caregiving activities are also credited towards this), you can be admitted to study as a so-called "guest auditor."
This means that you start your studies just like regular students and receive all documents and services like your classmates, including being able to take exams. Within ten months, you will then take the entrance exam at the Euro-FH, for which we will prepare you optimally. Upon passing the entrance exam, your status changes from that of a "guest auditor" to that of a "regular student." You will receive a record of your previous study and examination achievements and continue your studies seamlessly.

This option provides a direct link between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, as students can gain practical experience in a company.
To support the learning process, students are provided with study materials, virtual introductory seminars, online seminars with module exams, webinars, online tutorials, and web-based training. The target group of the programme includes individuals seeking a comprehensive education in Media and Communication Management and preparing themselves both academically and practically.
The programme is accredited by the Accreditation Council and the examiners praise the mature didactic distance learning concept, which is particularly suitable for students completing their studies alongside work. However, the examiners recommend integrating stimulating elements for engaging with literature and establishing an even closer link between research and teaching. There is also a recommendation to expand students' access to literature, for example through collaborations with libraries.
