These are the admission requirements for the Bachelor in Media Management
In order to enrol in the Bachelor's distance learning programme in Media Management at IU International University (IU), you need to provide us with your A-levels (general university entrance qualification), your technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur), or subject-specific university entrance qualification.
Alternatively, you can also enrol without A-levels. Studying without A-levels at IU is possible under the following conditions:
- You have successfully completed an advanced training course, for example, a training course to become a certified business economist.
- Or you have completed a vocational training, for example, training as an office clerk. After completing your training, you have worked in this profession full-time for at least 3 years. If your training does not match the subject of Media Management distance learning, you must first complete a trial course before being regularly enrolled.

In the Media Management distance learning course, we teach you business administration basics on one side and fundamental media knowledge on the other. During the course of your studies, you will delve into 2 topic areas of your choice. The course is modular in structure - you largely determine when you take which module. - 2nd Semester: Media Economics, Collaborative Work, Statistics, Digital Media Formats, Content Management Systems, Project: Online Media
- 3rd Semester: Media Psychology, Online Marketing, Cost and Performance Accounting, Media Platforms and Systems, Basics of Audio-Visual Media, Project: Audio-Visual Media
- 4th Semester: Law (optional according to German or Austrian legal foundations), Agile Project Management, Mobile Media, Seminar: Cross Media Management, Intercultural Skills, Project: Cross Media Management

Study Concept: How the Part-Time Media Management Course at IU Works
You can adapt the online Media Management studies at the IU International University to fit your life and daily routine as it suits you best. For instance, you can choose from one of 3 study models: In the full-time program, you need a total of 6 semesters, or 36 months, to complete your Bachelor's degree. In part-time program I, you study for 8 semesters until graduation. Or you can opt for part-time program II and take 12 semesters to complete your Bachelor's degree.
You will receive study materials from IU with each module enrollment as printed study materials. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative learning scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of each lesson. Depending on the module, the study materials are supplemented with podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of shortcasts. You can access the IU Interactive Books via the convenient IU learning app.
In many modules, virtual lectures are also offered, allowing you to interactively engage with your fellow students and instructors.
An especially convenient and flexible feature is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 7 days a week, 24 hours a day - whenever you feel best prepared for the exam, for example, in building construction. Additionally, we operate around 40 exam centers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams in a traditional in-person format.
