- With professional experience but without a first degree: Admission is possible after completing at least a two-year vocational training and at least three to four years of subject-specific professional experience, as well as a successful aptitude test and motivation letter. In addition, a counselling interview at the university is required.
- A university entrance qualification (Abitur, advanced technical college entrance qualification, master craftsman’s certificate, or equivalent professional qualification according to Hessian regulations) is required depending on prior education.
- Further course-specific certificates, such as proof of credit points from certain areas, an English language certificate (at least B2), an admission interview, or a motivation letter, may be required on a case-by-case basis.
Personally, you should have a strong interest in current media developments, digital trends, and interdisciplinary issues. Professional experience in media, communication, marketing, or public relations is advantageous. Personal prerequisites include self-motivation, communication skills, organisational ability, analytical thinking, and the willingness to learn continuously and independently alongside your job.
