This degree allows the unrestricted use of the academic title in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland and is awarded according to the Austrian University of Applied Sciences Act.

In accordance with the equivalence agreement between Austria and Germany, the MBA degree from the University of Applied Sciences of BFI Vienna is equivalent in both countries.

How the Distance Learning Programme at ELG Works

Interested individuals can sign up for the MBA distance learning programme "Digital Transformation & Artificial Intelligence" at ELG online at any time of the year.

After registration, the submitted documents are reviewed to ensure that the entry requirements are met.

Once admitted, students receive their access details and can start their distance learning programme. The exact start time is flexible and can be individually scheduled.

Subsequently, students learn independently and complete the various modules of the distance learning programme one after the other. From start to finish, students are supported by ELG's Study Coaches as needed.

The duration of studies is set at a minimum of 18 months up to a maximum of 42 months. Study interruptions (maternity leave) are possible twice for 6 months each.

The workload for the studies in the minimum study time is approximately 20 hours per week. A rule of thumb is about 25 hours per ECTS credit, amounting to a total of 2250 hours for the 90 ECTS variant.

Participants can also attend online lectures in addition to the study material, which are offered several times a month on a voluntary basis.

In each module, participants take corresponding module exams, which can be taken online at any time, and also complete module project work.

Finally, students write their Master's thesis as part of the last module, addressing a specific topic in the field of digital transformation. They are supported by a supervisor throughout this process.

Participants present and defend their Master's thesis in a three-part oral final examination, consisting of: Defense of the Master's thesis, Questions on the Master's thesis, and Questions on the course content of the completed programme.

Upon successful completion, graduates receive the academic title of "Master of Business Administration (MBA)".
