Admission requirements

Please note: Each application will be individually reviewed. Regarding economic and legal competencies that are prerequisites for admission to the course of study but were not acquired during the first degree, bridge courses (approximately 100.00 euros per course) may need to be taken within one year parallel to the study. You will then be provisionally admitted as an external student and can participate in the study and examination operations.

Furthermore, the following qualifications apply for admission to the MBA programme:
1. University degree (diploma, bachelor, magister, master) with at least 210 ECTS credits; applicants who do not have 210 ECTS credits have the opportunity to earn up to 30 ECTS credits (after individual assessment) through accreditation or recognition of non-university or academically acquired knowledge and skills in consultation with the examination office of DIPLOMA Hochschule. Alternatively, bridge courses for acquiring 30 ECTS credits can also be taken at DIPLOMA Hochschule. The equivalence of foreign degrees must be proven for admission.
2. At least one year of professional experience.
3. Demonstrated qualified English language skills by appropriate certificates (TOEIC, TOEFL, Cambridge Certificate) or an aptitude interview.
4. Initial leadership experience is advantageous but not a requirement.

Applicants without a university degree can be admitted to the MBA programme according to § 20 (3) HHG if they:
1. Have completed vocational training
2. Have at least two years of professional experience related to the desired course of study
3. Possess university entrance qualification
4. Have qualified English language skills
5. Have passed an aptitude test at Bachelor's level at DIPLOMA Hochschule

Foreign degrees are assessed for admission in accordance with the Lisbon Convention.

The Master's programme "General Management" (MBA) offers you a broad theoretical knowledge in all essential business areas, including legal, information technology, social sciences, and management competencies. Additionally, this pre-structured distance learning programme promotes your individual development and self-competence. You will acquire leadership skills enhanced by soft skills that also consider the intercultural aspects of the working environment. Through presentations, discussions, and much more, you will further strengthen your communication skills.

Course Structure
At DIPLOMA University, you have the option to study the Master's programme in General Management online or as a distance learning programme on-site.

The online distance learning programme at DIPLOMA University is designed based on the "Blended Learning" principle. This means that you will study the course materials using study guides and attend seminars. These seminars usually take place on 12 to 14 Saturdays per semester – occasionally also during the week in the evenings. In the online study mode, these seminars are conducted as live online sessions. You can also take your exams online or at an exam centre of your choice. In the on-site distance learning mode, you will attend real presence seminars and exams at your chosen study centre – Regenstauf.

Costs & Registration
The online distance learning programme at DIPLOMA University starts every year in the summer semester (April) and winter semester (October) of each year. You can begin your studies at any other time point after an individual assessment.
