Admission requirements: Who can enroll?
Admission to the Master's programme in Marketing Management requires a business-related first degree with at least a grade of "Satisfactory." Different entry requirements apply depending on the variant:
- 120-ECTS variant: Completed Bachelor's degree with at least 180 ECTS in the field of business studies.
- 60-ECTS variant: Bachelor's degree with at least 240 ECTS and at least 1 year of qualified work experience. Access is possible with 210 or 180 ECTS if additional credits (30 ECTS) or several years of relevant work experience are demonstrated.
Master for Professionals (only 60 ECTS): Admission is also possible without a Bachelor's degree. The requirements are:
- High school diploma or completed vocational training with a professional reference,
- at least 6 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role or expert position,
- and successful completion of a preparation module at IU (seminar paper and oral examination).
Language Skills:
- For German-language programmes: Proof of sufficient German language skills (for international applicants).
- For English-language programmes: English proficiency at least at B2 level (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, or Duolingo test). Alternatively, a free IU English course can be completed.
