Admission requirements
- completed undergraduate degree with 180 credits and
- one-year relevant work experience or
- at least one year of qualified work experience after completing the undergraduate degree, including 30 credits from further training measures or completing a bridging course at the Euro-FH
- or completed undergraduate degree with 210 credits and
- at least one year of qualified work experience
- for experienced executives without a university degree with at least ten years of qualified work experience, including six years of management responsibilities
- Language skills: English at level B2
Details
The course provides a broad understanding of basic principles of sustainability and sustainable development. Students engage with the historical development of the concept of sustainability and sustainable approaches, as well as with global, European, and local conditions. They get to know the key players and drivers of sustainable development and gain insights into corporate responsibility for sustainable development.
Furthermore, students are introduced to basic theories, concepts, principles, and standards of sustainable action in organizations. The course prepares students for work in various fields, such as founding and building sustainable companies, managing and further developing sustainable companies, embedding sustainability in companies, and initiating societal and political changes within companies.
The course is offered part-time and full-time for professionals and is aimed at graduates of a completed basic degree program, regardless of the discipline. The Euro-FH places great emphasis on practical teaching methods that provide students with a portfolio of different approaches and media that are applicable in everyday professional life. Accompanying seminars help to test and expand methodological and action competencies.
Graduates of this course are qualified for positions in founding, managing, or transforming companies or departments with a sustainable identity. Leadership and specialist positions in political, social, and civil society organizations that aim to convey sustainability as a message and mission are also possible.
