Who is the Business Management (B.A.) Distance Learning Programme at PFH Suitable For?

The Business Management (Bachelor of Arts) distance learning programme at the Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen is aimed at individuals who wish to obtain an academic qualification in management. It is particularly intended for working professionals interested in business administration, who think entrepreneurially and want to prepare for leadership roles or self-employment. School graduates who prefer a flexible online degree, as well as lateral entrants from other fields, also belong to the target group. The degree course is ideally suited for those who want to complete a business administration degree alongside their job, independently of location and with flexible timing, while setting individual specialisations, for example Marketing, International Management, HR Management or Business Psychology.

Admission Requirements for the Bachelor Distance Learning Programme in Business Management

  • General Higher Education Entrance Qualification (Abitur): Those holding the Abitur meet the formal admission requirement.
  • Subject-related Higher Education Entrance Qualification or Advanced Technical College Entrance Qualification: Access to the degree programme is also possible with a subject-related higher education entrance qualification or an advanced technical college entrance qualification.
  • Admission without Abitur: Enrolment is also possible without the Abitur – in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act. Admission is granted, among others, to persons with completed professional advancement training (for example, master craftsman qualification, specialist certificate or comparable qualifications) or a relevant, at least two-year vocational training followed by at least three years of professional experience in a related field.
  • No Numerus Clausus: The degree course is free from NC restrictions – admission is granted regardless of the Abitur grade.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning: Previously completed training, further education or academic achievements can be recognised towards the degree (up to 90 ECTS).

  • Start dates: The start of studies is possible on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October, as well as up to 6 weeks after the official start date.
  • Duration: Depending on the chosen time model, you study for 6, 8 or 10 semesters (standard period of study). Through recognition of prior achievements, the duration of studies can be individually shortened – recognition of up to 90 ECTS is possible.
  • Learning platform: The myPFH campus provides digital teaching materials (distance learning letters, teaching videos, assignments), events and a news feed – also available via app. Personal IT support and contact with lecturers with a guaranteed response within 48 hours complete the offer.
  • Examination mode: You can take exams flexibly online or at recognised centres in Germany and abroad. Attendance dates are not mandatory.
