In the Bachelor distance learning programme in Fashion Management at IU International University of Applied Sciences (IU), you can enrol if you provide us with your A-levels (general higher education entrance qualification), your advanced technical college certificate (vocational baccalaureate), or a subject-related university entrance qualification.

Alternatively, you can enrol without A-levels. Studying without A-levels at IU is possible under the following conditions:

  • You have successfully completed an advanced training qualification, such as a training course to become a certified business economist.
  • Or you have completed a vocational training, such as training to become an office clerk. After your training, you have worked in this profession full-time for at least 3 years. If your training is thematically unrelated to the distance learning programme in Fashion Management, you will first complete a trial study before being regularly enrolled.

Study Concept: How the Part-Time Study Programme Fashion Management at IU works

The online study programme Fashion Management at IU International University can be flexibly adjusted to fit your life and daily routine as best suits you. For example, you can choose one of 3 study models: In the full-time programme, you will need a total of 6 semesters, i.e. 36 months, to complete your bachelor's degree. In part-time study I, you will study for 8 semesters until completion. Or you can opt for part-time study II and take 12 semesters to complete your bachelor's.

With each module registration, you will receive study materials from IU in the form of printed study booklets. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative study scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of each lesson. Depending on the module, study materials are supplemented with podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of shortcasts. You can access the IU Interactive Books through the practical IU Learn app.

Moreover, many modules offer virtual classes that allow you to interactively engage with your classmates and lecturers.

A particularly convenient and flexible aspect is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 24/7, 7 days a week - whenever you feel best prepared for the exam, for example in building construction. Additionally, we operate around 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams traditionally on-site.
