What formal requirements must you meet?
There are two admission routes for the Master’s in Human Resource Management:
- With a completed first degree: You need a first university degree (e.g. Bachelor, Diploma, Magister) with at least 180 ECTS credits and at least one year of relevant professional experience in the HR field.
- Without a completed first degree: You have a recognised vocational qualification and at least three years of qualified professional experience in Human Resources. Additionally, you must pass an aptitude test.

The distance learning programme Human Resource Management (M.A.) at Hochschule Koblenz is designed for five semesters (90 ECTS) and can be completed alongside work. Each semester includes two exams and one term paper. Attendance sessions take place six times per semester on Fridays and Saturdays to promote exchange between students and lecturers and to combine theory and practice. The tuition fees amount to 2,750 Euro per semester, resulting in a total sum of 13,750 Euro for five semesters. In addition, there is a social contribution to Hochschule Koblenz of currently 105 Euro per semester as well as a one-off chip card issuance fee of 15 Euro for the student ID card. The distance learning programme can be tax-deductible as further education. Many employers provide financial support for further education, for example within the framework of educational leave. In addition, under certain conditions it is possible to apply for educational leave for attendance and online events. Financing options such as instalment payment or education loans can be arranged individually.
