- University degree (minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in Business Law, Business Administration (with at least 30 ECTS in law), or a legally oriented Bachelor's degree (e.g., LL.B.). Extent: minimum of 240 ECTS
- Minimum grade 'satisfactory'. A Bachelor's degree with the grade 'sufficient' (up to 4.0) is accepted if additional relevant master's/MBA achievements (at least 20 ECTS) or relevant further training on DQR7 level are proven
- Evidence of at least one year of qualified, relevant professional experience. This experience must have been acquired after the first degree. Practical experience from a dual study programme may also be recognised if it is relevant.
- Alternatively, admission with a first state examination in law (according to §5 DRiG). Here too, an additional year of qualified professional experience must be demonstrated
- Admission in special cases is at the discretion of the university
Students with fewer than 240 ECTS points in their first degree have the following options:
- At 210 ECTS: Admission is possible if either courses worth 30 ECTS are completed or at least one year of relevant professional experience is proven
- At 180 ECTS: Admission is possible if 30 ECTS of courses are taken and at least one year of qualified professional experience is evidenced or if at least two years of qualified professional experience are available before starting the Master's programme
For the proof of German language skills (for international applicants), the following certificates are accepted: TestDaF (minimum of 3 points), DSH1, Telc B2, ÖSD B2, or an equivalent certificate.
