Admission requirements
Access 1: You have a high school diploma or technical college entrance qualification
- With this qualification, you can enroll directly in a degree program at Euro-FH
- It is recommended, but not required, to also have at least twelve weeks of practical work experience related to the chosen course of study
Access 2: You do not have a high school diploma, but have completed a specialized advanced training examination:
- You have, for example, completed one of the following advanced training examinations or an equivalent specialized advanced training examination:
- State-certified business economist
- Accountant
- Specialist economist
- Business administrator
- state-certified technician
- Master or - You hold qualifications according to the Ship Officer Training Regulation or you have a degree from a recognized technical school (according to the Hamburg School Act) or an equivalently recognized degree or
- You have a degree from regional advanced training regulations for professions in the healthcare sector, in the field of social care or social pedagogical professions, comparable to the above and
- You also participate in a consultation with the Euro-FH's specialist commission. The consultation will be conducted by telephone and lasts about 15 minutes. The appointment for the conversation will be arranged after reviewing your enrollment documents
Access 3: Without a high school diploma, with a completed vocational training and several years of professional experience
- If you have completed vocational training and have been employed for at least three years thereafter (up to two years of childcare and caregiving can also be credited towards work experience), you can be admitted as a so-called "guest auditor" to the study programme. This means that you start your studies just like regular students and receive all documents and services like your fellow students, including the ability to take exams.
- Within ten months, you will then take the entrance exam at Euro-FH. This consists of an exam in German and an exam in reasoning and judgment. You can choose whether you want to take a project work or an exam in the respective subjects. We will prepare you optimally for the exams so that you can comfortably pass them within the specified time. By the way, during the entrance exam, you have a monthly right of termination, so you don't take any risks.
- Upon passing the entrance exam, your status changes from that of a guest auditor to that of a regular student. You will then receive evidence of your already completed study and examination achievements and continue your studies seamlessly.
Details
The distance learning course "Business Administration" at the European Distance University Hamburg introduces students to academic work and general business administration. The course content includes topics such as personnel, leadership and organization, basics of financial accounting, English for Business, quantitative methods, marketing, cost accounting and controlling, investment and financing, information management, commercial law, operations, project management, economics, change management, behavioural economics, challenges of economic policy, consulting, corporate management, corporate taxation, business ethics and corporate governance, as well as business models and business planning.
Students have the opportunity to focus on specific areas such as marketing, personnel and organization, controlling, accounting, logistics or business law. The bachelor's distance learning course extends over a period of 36 months and includes three two-day on-site seminars. Upon successful completion, the academic degree "Bachelor of Science" is awarded.
