The Bachelor's degree programme in Online and Social Media Marketing (B.A.) is conducted as a distance learning course and can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis, as well as in a dual study programme, also available in full-time and part-time options.

As part of the programme portfolio of the European Fernhochschule Hamburg (hereinafter Euro-FH) with currently 21 bachelor's and 19 master's degree programmes, this programme expands the range by offering a marketing-focused course in the area of online and social media. Students acquire knowledge and skills in basic business, management, marketing, and communication science subjects, supplemented by in-depth content on relevant digital marketing channels and the specifics of digital communication. As specialization options, students choose two out of the three available elective focuses: Digital Branding and Nudging, User Experience and Consumer Research, as well as Digital Commerce and Management.

In addition to using study booklets, the programme includes an in-person or virtual seminar (optional), two online seminars, eleven webinars, as well as various digital components (e.g. educational films, online tutorials) and learning opportunities via smartphone. The target group includes individuals who are seeking an academic and practical preparation for entering or advancing in the field of Online and Social Media Marketing.

For individuals who aim for an even closer integration of theory and practice and can demonstrate a suitable practical company with a supervisor in the admission process, Euro-FH offers a dual version of the programme. This allows for a direct integration of the scientific knowledge and skills acquired during studies (theory) with practical work activities (practice).
