In order to enroll in the Bachelor's distance learning course in Public Relations and Communication at IU International University (IU), you need to provide us with your secondary school leaving certificate (Abitur), your technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur), or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
Alternatively, you can also enroll without a secondary school leaving certificate. Studying at IU without a secondary school leaving certificate is possible under the following conditions:
- You have successfully completed an advanced training course, such as a training course to become a certified business economist.
- Or you have completed a vocational training, such as training to become an office clerk. After completing your training, you have worked in this profession full-time for at least 3 years. Study Concept: How the Part-Time Public Relations Study Programme at IU Works
The online study programme in Public Relations at IU International University can be flexibly adjusted to fit your life and daily routine as best suits you. For example, you can choose from 3 study models: In the full-time programme, you need a total of 6 semesters, or 36 months, to complete your bachelor's degree. In part-time programme I, you study for 8 semesters until completion. Or you can opt for part-time programme II and take 12 semesters to complete your bachelor's degree.
With each module enrolment, you will receive study materials from IU in printed study booklets. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative learning scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of a lesson. Depending on the module, study materials are complemented by podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of so-called Shortcasts. You can access the IU Interactive Books through the practical IU Learn App.
In many modules, virtual classes are also offered, allowing you to interactively engage with your classmates and lecturers.
Particularly convenient and flexible is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 24/7, 7 days a week when you feel optimally prepared, for example, for an exam in construction. Additionally, we operate around 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams in person.
