Admission requirements
In order to be admitted to the master's programme, you need to have completed a bachelor's programme of at least six semesters in the field of Business Administration or with a focus on Communication Management. Additionally, you must have at least 20 ECTS in economic courses, which can also be obtained in bridging courses at the IST University of Management. A minimum of three months internship or three months of professional experience in an organization with a focus on communication, as well as English language skills at level B2, are also required.

Aim:
In this IST course, you will learn to apply helpful communication strategies professionally, to plan and implement PR and marketing campaigns, and to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalisation. With the specialist knowledge acquired at the IST University of Management, you will qualify for exciting areas of responsibility such as public relations, (online) marketing, social media, corporate communications, and brand management in various companies and agencies.
Content:
The Master's programme "Communication Management" optimally and flexibly prepares you for a variety of career opportunities in the communication industry. You will acquire in-depth knowledge in business administration and up-to-date knowledge in digital communication. General management modules will provide you with in-depth knowledge in the areas of marketing and sales, digital transformation, and leadership skills. This will be followed by an intensive preparation for professional activities. Specialised subjects will cover topics such as "Strategies of Brand and Product Management," "Communication Design," and "Ideas and Innovation Management." In addition, you will choose your personal area of interest through a variety of elective modules such as "Festivals and Entertainment," "International Event Management," "TV Concept and Production," and "Public Marketing and Social Marketing." This will also enable you to choose a focus on tourism management.
Type of Study:
The Master's programme is offered in the form of a flexible distance learning course. Theoretical content will be provided to you through study materials, online lectures, exercises, and tutorials. This allows you to schedule your own study times and study from anywhere. On additional seminar days, you will acquire valuable practical knowledge and skills and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry experts and your fellow students.
