What formal requirements do you have to meet?
The following requirements apply for admission to the Master's in Communication Management at IST University of Management:
- Completion of at least a six-semester higher education programme (e.g. Bachelor’s degree, programmes focused on business administration, communication, media, or a comparable field). Accredited Bachelor’s degrees from vocational academies are also recognised.
- Proof of at least 20 ECTS credits from economic courses in the first degree. If these are missing, you can make them up through bridging courses.
- Professional experience or internship of at least three months (at least 360 hours) related to communication. This proof can be provided by the start of the 3rd subject semester at the latest.
- English skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference or at least seven years of English at school. Alternatively: language certificate through a language test.

You will first deepen your business and management fundamentals in the areas of Marketing & Sales, Digital Transformation, Leadership Skills, and Entrepreneurship. How does the Communication Management degree work as a distance learning course?
The programme is designed as a flexible distance learning course and can be completed either in 4 semesters (full-time) or 6 semesters (part-time). In the full-time variant, the weekly study workload is approximately 29 hours. The start is possible twice a year, on 1 April and 1 October.

- Study content is delivered via digital learning platforms, study booklets, online lectures and tutorials
- Each module includes 3–5 online tutorials
