Who is the Bachelor in International Business Communication suitable for?

The distance learning programme is aimed at everyone who wants to work in the international business and communication environment. It is particularly targeting language enthusiasts who are interested in business administration, international corporate communication, and intercultural collaboration. The degree course is suitable for beginners from various life situations – from the traditional university entrance qualification (Abitur) to working professionals with advanced training or vocational qualifications. What formal requirements must you meet?

For admission to the Bachelor’s degree in International Business Communication at AKAD University, you need one of the following qualifications:

  • general university entrance qualification (Abitur)
  • subject-specific university entrance qualification
  • advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife)
  • an equivalent foreign university entrance qualification
  • recognised professional advanced training (e.g. technicians, master craftsmen, business administrators, specialist supervisors, educators)
  • professional qualification plus work experience: Admission is possible either through a passed university aptitude test or a trial study period

If you do not have a German Abitur, you must demonstrate sufficient German language skills. Accepted qualifications include, among others:

In addition, a one-off examination fee of €960 applies, which may be fully waived during discount promotions.
