The following formal requirements must be met
For admission to the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, you need a university entrance qualification according to the following options:
- General university entrance qualification, subject-specific university entrance qualification, or university of applied sciences entrance qualification
- Equivalent foreign university entrance qualification
- Completed professional advanced training such as technician, master craftsman, business administrator, specialist administrator, or educator
- Vocational training plus relevant professional experience: access via university aptitude test or via a trial study period
- Proof of sufficient German language skills, e.g. DSH-2, TestDaF level 4, or language level C1 (GEFR), if you cannot provide a German-language school leaving certificate
Personally, you should bring the following qualities to the distance learning course:
- Time management and self-organisation for independent learning (approximately 30 hours per week are recommended for full-time study)
- Motivation to continuously acquire new knowledge
- Analytical thinking skills and interest in economic contexts
- Mathematics skills at the level of university entrance qualification as well as solid English skills (B2 level according to CEFR is recommended)

This is how the Business Administration distance learning course is structured
The programme is divided into six semesters and comprises 180 ECTS credits. You can choose between three time models: Sprint (36 months), Standard (48 months) or Stretch (72 months). You can start your studies at any time, and changing the time model is flexible. All learning and examination processes take place entirely online – including digital scripts, video lectures, interactive exercises and online exams. You determine your individual learning pace and module order.

- Exams, term papers and open-book exams optionally on-site or flexibly online
- Digital self-tests, exercise materials as well as live webinars and online seminars
- Individual support by tutors and lecturers for each module

- Two extensive elective compulsory modules (15 ECTS each) for targeted specialisation
- Completion of the degree with a bachelor thesis and colloquium

The tuition fees for the Bachelor of Business Administration at AKAD University depend on the chosen time model:
- 36 months Sprint: approx. €357 per month
- 48 months Standard: approx. €295 per month
- 72 months Stretch: approx. €203 per month
The fees include all learning materials, use of the online campus, individual support and online exams. A one-time exam fee (currently €960) is charged in addition, but is partially covered by discount promotions.
