Admission requirements

The course of study in Business Administration is open to those who meet one of the following requirements:

• General university entrance qualification
• University of applied sciences entrance qualification
• Passed master craftsman examination
• Intermediate school-leaving certificate (at least a secondary school leaving certificate) and a qualified completion of at least a 3-year recognized vocational training with an average overall or final grade of 2.5 or better (if these grades are not indicated, the arithmetic mean of the individual subject grades applies),
• Completion of a professional development course with at least 400 hours of instruction, a technical college, or a vocational or administrative academy*
• Final examination in a state-recognized training occupation with subsequent professional activity related to the course of study for at least 2 years and passing a separate university entrance examination*

*According to the regulation on access to universities for professionally qualified individuals in the state of Hesse.

Further information on specific qualifications can be provided upon request. Applicants who do not meet the specified requirements can initially participate as guest auditors in the course, provided they have been admitted to the university entrance examination.

For foreign qualifications, equivalence must be proven for admission.

The Bachelor's degree programme "Business Administration" offers you the ideal starting position to work as a specialist in the private sector, public institutions, or non-profit organizations. Without skills in the field of business administration, companies, small businesses, as well as clubs and institutions cannot survive in the market. The growing globalization, as well as increasing competition and cost pressure, require a strategic response from companies. They need well-trained specialists for drawing conclusions from economic data, in the area of buying and selling, and for optimizing operational processes.

With the Bachelor's degree programme in "Business Administration" (B.A.) as a 7-semester (online) distance learning course, you are excellently prepared for a wide range of professions. With your analytical understanding of numbers and the competence to observe, evaluate, and improve business processes, you are able to work in any industry. Potential employers range from financial sector companies such as banks and insurance companies to industrial enterprises and public authorities, to management consulting, the hotel industry, or healthcare. You are not limited to your home country but have all the prerequisites for an international career.

Course of study
At the DIPLOMA University, you have the opportunity to study the Bachelor's programme in Business Administration as an online programme, as a distance learning course on-site, or as a full-time programme.

The (online) distance learning programme at DIPLOMA University is designed according to the "blended learning" principle. This means that you work on the study contents with the help of study booklets and attend seminars. These usually take place on 12 to 14 Saturdays per semester – in some cases also during the week in the evening. In the online programme, these take place as live online seminars. You can also take your exams online or at an exam centre of your choice. In the on-site distance learning, you attend your real presence seminars and exams at your chosen study centre – in Regenstauf.

Costs & Study Start
The (online) distance learning programme at DIPLOMA University starts every year in the summer semester (April) and winter semester (October) of a year. The start of the programme is possible at any other time – after individual assessment.
